Potomac Communications Group was created during a time of great uncertainty as America sought to grapple with the realities of the Three Mile Island nuclear accident and what it meant for the country's energy future. The founding partners, who both worked in nuclear communications, realized that very few public relations firms were up to the challenge of translating technical subjects like nuclear power into language easily understood by the public. With this in mind, our company was created to take on some of the most challenging communications issues of the day.
While all forms of energy are still a major focus, after more than 30 years in business, we have evolved into a full-service agency helping corporate, government and association clients with their most demanding communications challenges. We are engaged in strategic communications planning, marketplace positioning, public policy support, marketing, employee and member communications, aggressive media outreach, graphics and design, and the development of powerful traditional and online communications tools.
